1941
The start
Our history as cava producers began in 1941, the year in which our winery was founded in the center of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, which is now our ‘Alma Mater’ and center of operations.
1951
The Centellas Saga
A young Victor Centellas, 14 years old, began to work in several of the local cellars, learning all the secrets of the elaboration of this sparkling wine.
Little by little his intrigue towards the elaboration of his own cava grew…
1982
The 1980s
Victor Centellas takes advantage of the construction of his home in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia to build a small cellar, where he will produce his first run of artisanal cavas with a very strong personality, using all the knowledge he learned in his youth.
2002
A new millennium
Victor Centellas acquires one of the most emblematic cellars of the town, Cavas Monastell, with more than 75 years of history, being one of the oldest of the D.O. Cava.
In these ‘new’ facilities he will continue his passion for making cava, now in a cellar with capacity for more than half a million bottles in aging, which will allow to extend the aging time of our cavas.
2016
New generations
Lluc Centellas, current head of the Montsant brand, began his studies in oenology at the Rovira i Virgili University, graduating in 2020.
His relationship with cava since he was a child, thanks to his father, made his interest in chemistry and oenology make him decide to continue with the family business.
2020

This is the moment in which the incorporation of the new generation of the family to the winery, makes us focus more on international trade so that more people can enjoy our product throughout the world.
